THE HISTORY OF SCIENTOLOGY’S EXPANSION

In March, The Scientology Handbook, the most comprehensive manual on the basics of Scientology ever published, was released in five languages. Provided in its 984 pages and more than 700 photographs and illustrations are easy-to-apply solutions for a myriad of day-to-day problems.

With release of the Handbook also came the launch of the “Crusade for a Better World,” a program designed to activate Volunteer Ministers who, by applying the fundamentals from The Scientology Handbook, could help people in all walks of life with difficulties ranging from handling relationships and stress in the workplace to resolving the problems of drugs and education and a myriad of spiritual challenges.

Volunteer Ministers became a vital force in communities the world over, introducing thousands to L. Ron Hubbard’s technology.

As an index of how rapidly Scientology was growing, May brought the release of the How to Use Dianetics video in ten new languages – German, Italian, French, Spanish, Swedish, Danish, Japanese, Greek, Russian and Hungarian – making Dianetics available to more than 1 billion people.
