The Statistics and Growth of the Scientology religion

No religion in history has spread as fast or as far in as short a time as Scientology. Today it is practiced in more than 30 languages in 129 countries on every continent.

This part details the expansion of Scientology from its birth in the United States in the early 1950s to its scope today. The next five chapters cover a wide variety of data on the Scientology religion and Scientologists, the breakthrough “firsts” which have spurred its ascendancy, the history or its expansion, documentation of the sources who have opposed it and the predictions about Scientology by sociologists, religionists and others.

Here is a look at the phenomenon of a new religion emerging and flourishing in a time of generally declining religious influence.
