In nearby Zimbabwe, where L. Ron Hubbard once lived and worked, Applied Scholastics, with the permission of the Ministry of Education and Culture, instituted a study technology teacher training program which has proven so successful, it has been expanded to the entire district of Shurugwi. There, more than 1,000 teachers have been trained in Mr. Hubbard’s study technology, and they are currently using it to raise the literacy levels and study skills of 31,000 students throughout the district.
