APPLIED SCHOLASTICS

Located in Los Angeles, it has affiliated offices in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Commonwealth of Independent States, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Holland, Hungary, Japan, Mexico, South Africa, Sweden, Taiwan, the United Kingdom and New Zealand.

Although founded in the early 1970s, the organization had its beginnings in the previous decade, when government schoolteachers who knew of L. Ron Hubbard’s study technology began using it in their classes and reported great improvement in learning abilities among their students. In 1971, the first educational organization specializing in the use of study technology was started in California by a Scientologist teacher.

Applied Scholastics was founded the following year as the operating entity with the mission of advancing public education by ensuring that those outside churches of Scientology could avail themselves of Mr. Hubbard’s study technology.

Formed by a team of educators and teachers from a number of American schools and universities, Applied Scholastics today is international in scope, coordinating the many programs throughout the world which utilize study technology. Many Scientology churches and their members support and sponsor Applied Scholastics in recognition not only of its proven results but of its potential to improve life for the students of today and tomorrow.

To date, more than 3 million people have participated in Applied Scholastics programs throughout the world. And Mr. Hubbard’s study technology is used in programs conducted by more than 250 educational organizations in 29 countries on 6 continents.
