SPEARHEADING SOCIAL REFORM

How to Start a CCHR

Forming a CCHR does not demand prior expertise or research. The primary prerequisite is a willingness and desire to do something to eliminate psychiatric abuse and restore human rights. Anyone wishing to start a CCHR chapter should merely contact their nearest CCHR office. (See Chapter 42 for a list of addresses.)

CCHR members have already compiled the successful actions needed to set up a local chapter, how to document abuses, what to look for when touring a psychiatric institution and numerous other helpful pointers. These are included in the information packets needed to start a CCHR chapter.
